White Cross Pin

Life is a Gift

White Cross Pin

About

The White Cross Pin, now the journey begins….

Thanks for joining me!

The White Cross Pin Blog was launched to recognise and acknowledge that abortion ends the life of a little boy or a little girl. A death has occurred. Aborted babies are not “Human Trash” to be discarded in a bin or incinerated with no respect or dignity.  God is the author of life and God is the author of death. No one can interfere with the divine law of God, Life is sacred,  Life is a gift from our creator.

Those who uphold the sanctity of human life will wear the white cross pin in remembrance of all aborted babies who have been denied their human right to life.

Aborted babies are not this generations forgotten trash and we the white cross pin are committed to witness and pray for all aborted babies in Ireland and Globally in our daily lives. We give all aborted babies our hands our feet and our voice to condemn the violent act of abortion and the murder of all innocent boys and girls in the womb.

As Easter approached this year , I wanted to do something in response to “Holy Week” I decided to organise little white crosses in remembrance of the babies Ireland has already aborted since January 1st 2019.

In the centre of the cross is the Shamrock the national symbol of Ireland given to us by St Patrick representing the “Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit” .  A white cross is extremely poignant as an innocent life has been taken by abortion and the shamrock is at the heart of the cross in union with the divine author of life.

Jesus said I am the way the Truth and the Life no one can come to the Father except through me.

How precious the gift of the cross, how splendid to contemplate! In the cross there is no mingling of good and evil, as in the tree of paradise: it is wholly beautiful to behold and good to taste. The fruit of this tree is not death but life, not darkness but light. This tree does not cast us out of paradise, but opens the way for our return. – St. Theodore the Studite

I’m sure the soil of our ancestors in Ireland must weep for the babies in the womb Ireland has already sentenced to death.

By nothing else except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ has death been brought low: The sin of our first parent destroyed, hell plundered, resurrection bestowed, the power given us to despise the things of this world, even death itself, the road back to the former blessedness made smooth, the gates of paradise opened, our nature seated at the right hand of God and we made children and heirs of God. By the cross all these things have been set aright…It is a seal that the destroyer may not strike us, a raising up of those who lie fallen, a support for those who stand, a staff for the infirm, a crook for the shepherded, a guide for the wandering, a perfecting of the advanced, salvation for soul and body, a deflector of all evils, a cause of all goods, a destruction of sin, a plant of resurrection, and a tree of eternal life. – St. John Damascene

“Love Saves Lives”

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Let’s take this journey together in Christ as we wear our “White Cross pins” in remembrance of  all the little boys and girls aborted not just in Ireland but Globally. Let’s witness for the innocent babies in the womb who are too tiny to defend themselves.

If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. – Jesus Christ

With the permission of the Cardinal Kung Foundation we have a beautiful  prayer card with the Little white Cross pin.

Prayer To The Guardian Angels Of Aborted Babies Angelic Spirits, created by God to worship Him, assigned to be guides and spiritual companions to human creatures, comfort and attend those human beings who through the sins of abortion were denied their full life on earth planned for them by God their creator, and the eternal vision of Him which they might have had through baptism. As they eternally worship God whom they know by natural reason, attend them eternally. With all our Guardian Angels , plead for forgiveness for those who committed these sins of abortion in violation of God’s divine law: “Thou shalt not Kill ” plead forgiveness for all who promote these sins against God’s Majesty, plead forgiveness for all who encourage, approve or fail to prevent these sins. Assist us who strive to protect the right to life of all unborn children.

This prayer card was first released by Bishop Curtis and was reprinted by the Cardinal Kung Foundation to commemorate the fifth Anniversary of the death of its Founding Chairman Bishop Curtis (May 3 1913 – October 18 1997)

“Angel of God , my Guardian dear , to who his
love commits me here, ever this day be at my side ,
to light to guard , to rule and guide . Amen

Partial Indulgence

I have been deeply moved by all the letters and cards I have received since I posted the “white cross pin” on Facebook the response has been overwhelming from all over the world. The White Cross pin is not just for Ireland it’s an opportunity to witness everywhere against the unjustfied killing of babies in the womb. By wearing this visible little white cross pin we are upholding the human right to life of everyone inside and outside the womb. Together we respect the diginity and sanctity of life from conception to natural death. We can’t change the horrific legislation deceitfully introduced into Ireland overnight but we can cause large ripples, together let us wear our little white crosses and start conversations all around the country and globally person to person .

2470 The Cathecism of the Catholic Church

The disciple of Christ consents to “live in the truth,” that is, in the simplicity of a life in conformity with the Lord’s example, abiding in his truth. “If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth.”265

II. TO BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH

2471 Before Pilate, Christ proclaims that he “has come into the world, to bear witness to the truth.”266 The Christian is not to “be ashamed then of testifying to our Lord.”267 In situations that require witness to the faith, the Christian must profess it without equivocation, after the example of St. Paul before his judges. We must keep “a clear conscience toward God and toward men.”268

2472 The duty of Christians to take part in the life of the Church impels them to act as witnesses of the Gospel and of the obligations that flow from it. This witness is a transmission of the faith in words and deeds. Witness is an act of justice that establishes the truth or makes it known.269

All Christians by the example of their lives and the witness of their word, wherever they live, have an obligation to manifest the new man which they have put on in Baptism and to reveal the power of the Holy Spirit by whom they were strengthened at Confirmation. 270

2473 Martyrdom is the supreme witness given to the truth of the faith: it means bearing witness even unto death. The martyr bears witness to Christ who died and rose, to whom he is united by charity. He bears witness to the truth of the faith and of Christian doctrine. He endures death through an act of fortitude. “Let me become the food of the beasts, through whom it will be given me to reach God.”271

2474 The Church has painstakingly collected the records of those who persevered to the end in witnessing to their faith. These are the acts of the Martyrs. They form the archives of truth written in letters of blood:

Neither the pleasures of the world nor the kingdoms of this age will be of any use to me. It is better for me to die [in order to unite myself] to Christ Jesus than to reign over the ends of the earth. I seek him who died for us; I desire him who rose for us. My birth is approaching. . .272I bless you for having judged me worthy from this day and this hour to be counted among your martyrs. . . . You have kept your promise, God of faithfulness and truth. For this reason and for everything, I praise you, I bless you, I glorify you through the eternal and heavenly High Priest, Jesus Christ, your beloved Son. Through him, who is with you and the Holy Spirit, may glory be given to you, now and in the ages to come. Amen.273

If you claim you have no sin, you are calling God a liar

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar  and showing that his word has no place in our hearts (1 John 1:8-10)

If you reject eternal life, you are calling God a liar

Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son. All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true.  Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.
And this is what God has testified:  He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.  (1 John 5:9-12)

  • As in 1 John 1:10, if you reject eternal life by rejecting that you are a sinner and need a savior, then you are rejecting the entire message of the Bible and calling God a liar.

If you reject Jesus Christ, you are calling God a liar

The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.  Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.  For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.  Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.  (John 3:31-36)
